I found this row of old buildings on the outskirts of Pineland, Texas and my imagination went into high gear. The Sunglo Feed sign suggested early morning and I created the rest, added the Cars, Trucks and People and Breakfast is Served!

When I show in East Texas, folks scold me for not painting their area so I'm correcting this deficiency. East Texas has thousands of square miles of Pine Forest and is providing me with a new Painting challenge!

Early in my career I was known as "the Train Artist", but new ideas and new horizons beckoned to me and I gradually moved on to other things. When I was asked to look at the Edinburg Depot as a possible painting subject, I realized that over twenty years had passed since I had painted a train and since one of my current painting interests is cars, this was a real 'natural' for me. Published in 1996 as a Fundraiser for the Hidalgo County Historical Museum in Edinburg, Texas.

is one of the most prominent Mountains in West Texas and rises to 8085 Feet. On a clear day you can see El Capitan from 50 miles away. I made a special trip to photograph El Capitan and was impressed by these Giant Boulders that look like they were tossed there like Marbles by some giant child. I added the two Horses and Riders to show the scale of the Boulders.
Available for purchase:

These three calves were born this spring and fathered by the Same Brown colored Limosin Bull. The Black Calf has a Black Angus Mother, The Brown Calf has a Brown Mother but the White Calf's mother is solid brown with a white patch on her forehead. We haven't figured out how these two brown animals had a solid white calf!

Whitetail Deer are most active at night as anyone that travels the rural roads can testify. I would guess that more deer are killed by vehicles than are harvested by hunters.

Being an avid bird watcher and having seen many colorful and exotic birds, one of the most beautiful I've seen is the common barnyard rooster and binoculars are not necessary to see one. Simple things we take for granted are beautiful if we will just examine them closer; an apple, an orange, a fallen leaf and even a sliced onion, that is, if you can look at one for long without crying. We've been given many blessings such as life itself, intelligence, freedom and senses. The greatest of our blessings is sight, with which we can appreciate all of the beauty and wonders that abound in this world!
Available for purchase:
No matter how well you train a horse its rare that one will volunteer to be ridden,so a Cowboy usually has to figure out a way to trick his chosen mount into getting close enough to be caught, at which time a good horse knows the game is over and submits gracefully to the bridle and saddle.
