Texas has more miles of the Bankhead Highway than any other state and much of it is still drive able!

Being an avid bird watcher and having seen many colorful and exotic birds, one of the most beautiful I've seen is the common barnyard rooster and binoculars are not necessary to see one. Simple things we take for granted are beautiful if we will just examine them closer; an apple, an orange, a fallen leaf and even a sliced onion, that is, if you can look at one for long without crying. We've been given many blessings such as life itself, intelligence, freedom and senses. The greatest of our blessings is sight, with which we can appreciate all of the beauty and wonders that abound in this world!

No matter how well you train a horse its rare that one will volunteer to be ridden,so a Cowboy usually has to figure out a way to trick his chosen mount into getting close enough to be caught, at which time a good horse knows the game is over and submits gracefully to the bridle and saddle.

I noticed these boys climbing a tree and my mind wandered back to my own childhood. We had an Oak tree in the backyard and my friends and I built a tree house which soon became a spaceship, a castle, a pioneer fort, a pirate ship and many things too numerous to mention. As we grow up we drift away from childhood fantasies and concentrate on more mature things. If we will only let our minds wander back to this marvelous state, we can often find answers to our real problems and realize that the others are unimportant. Wouldn't this world be a more wonderful place if we would all accept this great gift and enjoy it more?
Available for purchase:
The Store Building is the Silver City Store East of Temple and was out of business when I found it several years ago,so I used my imagination to put it back in business.
