(Siproeta stelenes) This Vitex Tree is beside our porch and has to be a hundred years old. It's over 25 feet across and when it is blooming butterflies are on practically every bloom! From left top: Common Wood Nymph (Cercyonis pegaia), Texan Crescent (Phyciodes texana), Gulf Fritillary (Agraulis vanillae), Mourning Cloak (Nymphalis antiopa), Phaon Crescent (Phyciodes phaon), Bordered Patch (Chlosyne lacinia), Checkered White (Pontia protodice), Tawny Emperor (Libytheana carinenta), and Sleepy Orange (Eurema nicippe).
