This painting will be published on my 2006 Texas Spanish Missions Calendar. Named the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in 1914 it is located in Ruidosa, Texas in the Big Bend Area up the Rio Grande From Presidio.The Texas Historical Commission says that the structure is recognized as one of the most significant adobe buildings in the state, as its three arches are likely the largest existing round-structural adobe arches in Texas.
