Christmas 1985. This is our Ranch House near Clifton, better known in the area as Highview. As we anticipate the changes we are about to embark on we feel sadness about leaving our home in Austin, and joy about starting again with so much beauty surrounding us. Most of the worthwhile things in life have their own special mixture of sadness and joy. If all things were joyful we wouldn't fully appreciate them for there would be nothing to compare with or strive for!
