The Cactus Theater, Built in 1938, is in Downtown Lubbock on what is now Buddy Holly Avenue and as I was standing in front of it, I got this idea to show Buddy cruising by in the 1958 Chevrolet Impala that was his last car. This Painting triggered the concept for the entire 1999 Calendar!
