Standard Frame is 4 3/4" Walnut with Gold Beaded Edge or you can choose any of our Frame Choices below, Standard Liner is Navy Fabric with Ornate edge or you can chose anything shown in our Frame and Liner selections. $160 Framed with no Liner measures 27" x 19".On March 13, 1836 General Sam Houston and his men camped under this magnificent Oak Tree after burning the town of Gonzales while retreating from the Mexican Army. The Texans had been defeated at the Alamo and Goliad and things looked hopeless. General Houston and 374 men left this spot and later defeated Santa Anna at the Battle of San Jacinto on April 21. The House in the background is the McClure-Braches House, Built in 1843 after the original Log House built in 1831, was burned during the retreat known as the "Runaway Scrape".
