The Landmark Lodge Motel is at 7501 Camp Bowie West in Fort Worth and is still going strong. The neon sign is such a great example of classic signage that this motel is indeed a Landmark. The Landmark Lodge Motel is on the Historic Bankhead Highway!

This Romanesque Revival style Courthouse is on the square at Hallettsville, Texas and was designed by Eugene T. Heiner and was built in 1897. The Gazebo was built for the filming of "The Best little Whorehouse in Texas"

This will be published on my 2014 Texas Wildlife Calendar! and prints are available Coyotes are really smart and this one is part of a hunting strategy. The pack spreads out into a large circle and they all lay down and wait until a Rabbit or other game appears somewhere in the circle. One Coyote will jump up and chase the rabbit right into the mouth of one of the other Coyotes in the circle!

According to reliable records the world's first Rodeo was in Pecos, Texas in 1883! Some disagree but since they are not Texans it's reasonable to question their credibility! This Roper was actually practicing at the Stamford Cowboy Reunion but I liked the action so much I placed him in the Arena!

This was inspired at South Padre Island. I'm always fascinated by the patterns in the sand etched by the almost constant wind. Sunrises on the beach are almost always inspiring!

The Lockhart Fire Station, located at 201 W. Market Street was built in 1914 and originally housed the Fire Department and City Hall. City hall was moved in 1988 and it is now exclusively the Fire Station.

This is the swing on our front porch and my normal morning routine is to step out of the front door and look at the sunrise. As I opened the door one morning I heard a flutter of wings and looked to the left to see a flicker of red leaving the porch and my eyes focused on the heart in the back of the swing and the idea for this painting came to mind!

There are two WaterFalls at McKinney Falls State Park and these are the Lower Falls. They are on Onion Creek Southeast of Austin and were owned by a Ranching Family that wanted them preserved and as a result donated the land to the State of Texas for use as a Park.
