Snow is a real treat in Central Texas because it's such a rarity. In January of 1982 we had several inches of snow on the ground and I had the good fortune of driving for several hours and observing before it melted away!

This is an imaginary place that mirrors many places in and around small towns in Texas. My interest in old tractors got started when I bought a 1957 John Deere from Joe Bland who has a place not too much different than Junior’s in Valley Mills, Texas.

This little Chickadee is one that we nursed back to health at least 20 years ago after it had an injured wing. I photographed him before we released him back into the wild. I knew Martha would want this painting so I portrayed him with his wing hanging down. He was able to perfectly in spite of the hanging wing.
