“NEWTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE” This Second Empire style Courthouse
is on the square at Newton, Texas and
was designed by Martin and Moodie and was built in 1902 although it is a style popular 30 years earlier referred to as the "General Grant" and is one of only two standing in Texas.
