“PLACID, TEXAS" This painting will be published on my 2007 Texas Classic Gas Stations Calendar. This Store opened in 1914 and it's appearance has changed very little. Placid is located at FM 1028 and FM 2315 16 miles Northeast of Brady, Tx and is very near the Geographic Center of Texas.  The First Gas Stations were existing stores that added gas pumps and this is a great example!     - GEORGE BOUTWELL
