Bluebirds- Christmas 1989. Sumac is a curse to many ranchers in Texas because it overruns pastures and uses water needed for grass, yet it is a blessing to a host of wild animals and birds like these Eastern Bluebirds because it's leaves and berries are excellent food and it's blazing colors are a blessing to the eye as they ignite the fall landscape. Although all things in nature have a purpose each is a blessing to some and a curse to others. If we think about it, practically everything we do in life is that way depending on how we are perceived. May you be a blessing to others and see them in the same way! - GEORGE BOUTWELL |
