NEW ARTIST CANVAS OPTION Now you can get prints of my work printed directly on Artist Canvas! I now have my own printing equipment here in my Studio. Most Limited Editions and Gold Signature Prints can now be printed on Canvas and sizes can be changed. It costs a little more but the Framed print looks more like a Painting. I just started printing on Canvas recently so I don't have all the information available to order them all on line yet, but all of the New Prints and Six of the Calendar Pages are available on Canvas Online and I'll get more of them available online in the Future. Most Limited Editions on Canvas unframed are $100 to $150 each or $255 to $350 Framed. Most Gold Signature Prints are $25 to $35 unframed on Canvas and $105 to $ 190 Framed.  EL CAPITAN is one of the most prominent Mountains in West Texas and rises to 8085 Feet. On a clear day you can see El Capitan from 50 miles away. I made a special trip to photograph El Capitan and was impressed by these Giant Boulders that look like they were tossed there like Marbles by some giant child. I added the two Horses and Riders to show the scale of the Boulders.  - GEORGE BOUTWELL

CONGRATULATIONS! MARTHA                                             My Wife Martha was recently voted into the Daughters of the Republic of Texas! Her ancestor Elijah Stapp signed the Texas Declaration of Independence! As a result of her research our Daughters Valerie and Kimberlee were also voted in! Since her research material shows that her ancestors settled in Colonial Williamsburg prior to the American Revolution she plans to apply to the Daughters of the Confederacy and the Daughters of the American Revolution! I guess that makes me White Trash married to a Blue Blood!

HILL COUNTRY BLUES AND FIELD OF GLORY SELL OUT We just sold the last prints of Field of Glory and Hill Country Blues! There were 460 Field of Glory on Paper and 40 Printed on Canvas. There were 479 Hill Country Blues on Paper and 21 Printed on Canvas!

OFFICIAL TEXAS STATE ARTIST FOR 2006       My Heartfelt thanks you to all of you who submitted my name to the Texas Commission for the Arts and Nominated me for the Title of Official Texas State Artist last year! In May of 2005I received a call from Rick Hernandez, the Executive Director of the Texas Commission for the Arts telling me that I had been chosen by the Texas State Legislature to be the 2006 Official Texas State Artist in the Category of Two Dimensional Visual Artist! I can't thank you enough!

                      TREASURES OF TEXAS- Has jwas published a year ago by Limited Editions of America of Whitehouse, Tennessee and they will produce State Symbol Prints for all 50 States. This is the Print for Texas and I was selected to produce the Painting because of my being designated as the Official Texas State Artist for 2006. The Print features Ten of the Official State Symbols of Texas and Three that I thought were equally as important to the History of Texas; (the Cowboy, the Windmill and the Oil Well). Limited Editions of America has produced 1845 (the year Texas Entered the Union) Signed and Numbered Prints .  They plan to make sales calls in each County and if they sell seven or eight at each, the Edition will sell out. (It's  alresdy half sold out!)  The Limited Edition is sold FRAMED ONLY for $199 and has cut outs in the matts that feature the Title, Texas Flag, Texas Seal and both sides of the Texas Quarter. I told them that they were selling this too cheap considering the elaborate matting but due to all being Framed and Matted the same they can offer it for the low price of $199. Size is 26 1/2" x 32 1/2", Matt colors can not be changed, However I can change the Frame to Oak, Gold or Weathered Wood for an additional $50. Click here for more information and to orderOn July 25th,2006 I presented a copy of Treasures of Texas to Governor Rick Perry to be placed in the Governor's Mansion in Austin.
